Types of Lip Plumper Treatment
Juvederm Volbella
Juvederm Volbella is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler, specifically formulated for the delicate skin covering the lips. Volbella is a thinner, more pliable substance compared to other facial fillers, providing a smooth, natural effect. Volbella adds volume and plumpness to the lips, while smoothing fine lines around the mouth as well.
This filler is rapidly gaining popularity over other lip fillers, especially since Volbella contains lidocaine which reduces swelling at the injection sites and makes the procedure much more comfortable.

Lip Plumpers Post-Treatment Care
- Ice The Area – Be sure to ice the area on and off for the first 24 hours to help minimize swelling and bruising. Ice for twenty minutes, then rest for another twenty before re-icing the area. Do this several times as needed
- No Smoking – Avoid smoking for the first 24 hours, if not longer.
- Avoid Strenuous Exercise – Refrain from any strenous exercise for the first 24-48 hours.
Lip Plumpers Post-Treatment Care (Injection Site)
- Swelling Is Normal – Swelling is expected and typically subsides within 24-48 hours.
- Bruising Is Normal – Lips are vascular (that’s why they’re so pink!) so expect some bruising. Bruising typically subsides within 5-6 days.
- Tender Lips – Slight tenderness to the lips is normal and resolves within 24-48 hours.
- Massage Out Lumps – Small lumps and bumps may occur- filler is moldable which can create small bumps after injection. But no need to worry- we advise to massage these out for a couple of days and those pesky lumps should be gone.
